Since writing this article, the NSW Premier announced on 31 January 2012 that the NSW Government will not proceed with the 10% E10 mandate from July 2012. The 6% mandate on all petrol will continue. The Government wants to assist families facing increased costs of living (if they are given little choice but to use PULP) and believes that the oil companies are not doing enough to promote ethanol. |
